Our over 65s walking football team participated in a friendly but competitive event featuring matches against Swindon, Salisbury, Highworth, and Melksham. The team displayed determination, skill, and great sportsmanship throughout the day, finishing with a win, two draws, and one narrow defeat.

Match Reports
Calne 1 v 1 Swindon
The opening fixture saw Calne face a strong Swindon side. Swindon took the lead with a superb strike from John F, putting Calne on the back foot. However, late in the game, Calne were awarded a penalty after a Swindon defender wandered into the area. Paul W stepped up and calmly converted, securing a well-earned draw for Calne.
Calne 1 v 0 Salisbury
Against Salisbury, Calne pressed hard for a breakthrough. Richard’s shot was well saved by Rob, the Salisbury keeper, but the rebound fell kindly to Paul, who made no mistake in finding the back of the net. This goal proved decisive, giving Calne a narrow but deserved victory.
