65s Wilts League - A Smart Start!

On the first matchday of the 2025 WCWFL 65s we were without doubt the smartest team, in our Omnium tracky tops on the sidelines and in our sponsored shirts on the pitch. A number of opposition players even complemented us.
Getting familiar with new teammates we played okay and we had our opportunities up-front, but both the Melksham and Salisbury keepers in particular, played blinders. Our only goal of the morning came against the Highworth goalie (Charlie!!) when Paul slotted home from a smartly taken free-kick from Ollie.
Our turnout in defence looks promising and Martin made great saves from some formidable opposition, helping keep the tally against us low(ish). The rest of the team played their socks-off in defensive and midfield duties and we're sure we'll be more comfortable in the next round on 5 June, when we will need to play with a bit more pizzazz.
