Plenty To Play For In 65s Wilts County WFL

Abbi H, Graham N, Rob S, Phil C. Andy G, Paul W, Ollie S. Unlike the 60s, the 65s didn't get off to a flying start in the Wiltshire County Walking  Football League 2024. One win and three losses means we sit 7 points behind leaders Highworth who are setting the pace.  The next game day is on 23 May, plenty of time to get fit and in the right frame of mind to climb the table. On a positive note, we did get a good result with the team photo!    RESULTS Swindon Town   1 v 1  Salisbury Cirencester Phoenix  0 v 2  Highworth Town Swindon Town  2 v 0  Cirencester Phoenix Salisbury  2 v 1   Calne Town Salisbury  1 v  0  Cirencester Phoenix Calne Town   0 v 1  Highworth Town Cirencester Phoenix  0 v 2   Calne Town Highworth Town  2 v 1 Swindon Town Highworth Town  1 v 1 Salisbury Calne Town   2 v 4  Swindon Town For more details of past and upcoming WCWFL events, CLIC...

A Flying Start - Round 1 Of 60s Wilts League

Perry K, Phil C, Charlie N, Graham N. Paul W, Kevin G, Mark K, Jon H. The first game day of the 2024 60s Wilts Walking Football League saw the Calne Town team get off to a flying start. Three outright wins, one win by default and one draw, sees us sitting at the top of the table - but second place Devizes do have a game in hand.  Unfortunately for Highworth they forfeited all their games having fielded a player below the age of 60 - but they are expected to come back strong on 12 May, the next game day.  Our focus on the 12 May is to keep flying!
